#4 The Common Place - Adult Mental Health Counseling Scholarship
The Common Place (TCP) is a beacon of light at the corner of 58th Street & Chester Avenue in SW Philadelphia. Located within Salt and Light Church, it serves as a community hub for over 20,000 people. TCP offers education, faith formation, and social service collaboration for children and families. The after-school program, Saturday enrichment offerings, and the 8-week Southwest Arts and Technology summer camp offer a safe space for children to grow. Activities and instruction include a health and wellness nutrition program, gardening, STEM classes, financial literacy, arts and crafts, as well as college and career readiness sessions. The Common Place also provides holistic programming for adults in the community, including access to subsidized mental health resources on a case-by-case basis.
