Expenses for basic items such as over-the-counter medications, aspirin, bandages, eyeglasses, and hearing aids can strain budgets already stretched by food, transportation, clothing, and rent. Humanitarian parolees and asylum seekers often lack coverage for medical and dental visits and expensive prescription medications, which can lead to income loss due to missed work. This gift can make a real difference in welcoming the stranger by helping the BMPC Refugee Support Committee fund its emergency medical fund.
