Gemma Services was established in 2019 when theVillage merged with Silver Springs-Martin Luther School. Today, as one organization, Gemma represents over 300 years of supporting youth and families facing extreme challenges in the Greater Philadelphia area. Many children enter the residential program with few personal belongings, and funding often does not fully cover these essential items. Gemma ensures that every child has seasonally appropriate clothing and personal care items needed during their stay, meeting basic human needs and showing the children that they matter. With three locations in Greater Philadelphia, Gemma serves more than 3,000 youth and families each year through mental health, child welfare, prevention, and education programs.
