Riverbend Environmental Education Center, a 30-acre preserve in Gladwyne, PA, teaches environmental principles to children in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Through a direct connection with nature, Riverbend aims to inspire children to respect the natural world and to take action as aware, responsible, and caring citizens. This gift connects children to nature by supporting Riverbend’s visits to Philadelphia schools. These visits teach children to protect their local watershed, making nature learning fun by taking students outside to observe the world around them and conducting water experiments in their own schoolyards. Riverbend visits each class multiple times to help foster curiosity about nature and to inspire children to take action on behalf of the earth.
