The Ardmore Food Pantry (AFP) is dedicated to improving the nutrition, health, and well-being of people struggling against poverty-related hunger by offering food and community with dignity and compassion. Founded by members of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in 2009, AFP now serves an average of 150 food-insecure individuals each week. AFP operates a full-choice pantry providing protein, fresh produce, dairy products, and nonperishable items. As guests arrive, they are welcomed with food, hospitality, and snacks while they wait for their opportunity to make their food selections. Financial aid application assistance, monthly legal assistance, and on-site nurse assessments are also available. AFP is dedicated to getting to know, listening to, and learning from its guests. In response, The Center was founded in Oct. 2023 to provide guests with free weekly creative arts workshops featuring various art forms, including poetry, photography, and painting.
